Lickety Split: City Island
The main (and only) thoroughfare, City Island Avenue, is full of seafood restaurants and gift and antiques shops. There's also an ice-cream shack, Lickety Split, owned by the family that lives in the house behind it.from the New York Times weekend section

I've never been on City Island and NOT gone to Likety Split for my dessert. I feel like I'm treated like family when I go !
